Zetrix: Tetris Reloaded!

Remember Tetris? That lovely game that many played so much that they saw falling bricks when they closed their eyes or even dream about them? Well, Zetrix is essentially a Tetris clone. Although it does add a couple cool neat things. The nice shiny new coat of paint for example. ^^

The other thing is that the blocks float on water. Water that can be raised and lowered with powerups. So, raising the water at the wrong time can cause you to lose the game. Other powerups include an extra points powerup and a bomb powerup. The latter can be a blessing or a curse. It's good when you messed up and need to fix it but bad when you are trying to do a huge combo. It just deletes the bricks that would've scored you more points. There are also new shapes that fall down.

Relive the good ol' days!

Neat Spin on a Beat 'em up

Rumble box is a 3d beat 'em up where the goal is to get out of a box. How? Since the characters are made up of little blocks, when you defeat them they fall apart leaving a pile of blocks behind. You must pile the bodies up until there is enough filling the box so you can escape. Watch out though! Some of the enemies have bombs for heads and explode when defeated.

Rumble Box is a fun little game that's easy to pick up and play. Thank you Digipen students!

Secret Service Game

Black Shades is a neat little game where you must protect your white-clad VIP from being assassinated. Assassins, disguised as civilians, will randomly try to stab or shoot your VIP. You have to shoot them variety of weapons, tackle them, tackle your VIP out of harm's way, take a bullet for your VIP, etc. You also have some psychic-like powers at your disposal, including one similar to bullet-time which slows everything down.

Although it has blocky graphics, it doesn't matter much, because the rounds only last around 40 seconds. And it makes up for it with it's completely random city.

Try to beat my awesome score in this one! The superb score of... zero. I swear those knife guys come out of nowhere! ^^;

Note: Screenshot is from the game's website since it would not let me take one myself.

Protect [favorite famous person]! Dr. Wolfgang Von Bubbles, for example. ^^

Legos on the Computer and the Brain

What could be more blocky than Legos? That is what Blockland is about. You make a little Lego guy, you run around and build stuff. Unfortunately, this is a demo and you have limited blocks and no multiplayer.

In case you were wondering, in the screenshot I built a fort with an awesome green couch, a huge TV and an anti-gravity table with a sword. You can actually pick up the sword to presumably kill each other in multiplayer. =] There are lots of neat things you can add to the bricks like lighting, fog, transparency and emotes?

Build your own fort!

Bonus: Since I am on a Lego theme, try this falling Lego screensaver.

Defend stuffs with towers!

Vector TD is a strategy game where you place towers on a grid and then let a wave of enemies come and hope the towers stop them before they can get to your base and blow you up. XD

There is a lot of strategy in this game. You not only have to select which type of tower to place, but also where to place it to be successful. Some towers slow down enemies but do little damage. Others do massive damage but fire slowly. There are also special towers that beef up the surrounding towers.

Personally, I keep getting all the way to level 50/50 And then get obliterated. Let me know if anyone beats that last level. =]

Beat my score!

International block week!

Welcome to Block week. I decided I am randomly going to dedicate a week to loosly block-related games because it sounded like fun at the time. =3

Yay for Block Week! Everyone celebrate!
